About US
Pamela Carver and Carol Pedder
Friends of the Mountain , Incorporated is a community based nonprofit conservation organization based
in Southern California's San Bernardino Mountains and National Forest.

Continued over-development, especially in the San Bernardino Mountains, is threatening to destroy large tracts of forested land and wildlife habitat.

Our goal is to preserve and protect as much of the forest and wildlife as possible. We are working with other groups, organizations , and individuals in our efforts to achieve these goals.
Friends of the Mountain, Incorporated was founded in 2002 and was the inspiration of local conservationist Carol Pedder, who is also the organizations president.

Ms. Pedder has lived in the San Bernardino Mountains and National Forest for over 35 years. She
was a co-founder of both the "Save Our Forest Association" (SOFA) and the "San Bernardino Mountains Land Trust" (SBMLT), of which she is a former president.

We work alone and with other organizations to preserve as much of our mountains, forest, and wildlife as we can.

We are based in the small mountain community of Rimforest, approximately 3 miles from Lake Arrowhead and about
80 miles east of Los Angeles.
